Hi all. We have found a motor home perfect for us. Problem is, there is NOTHING on the internet about this motorhome. Is this a unicorn?

Does anyone have this model?

If you do, you should really do a walk through video on YouTube because there are none.

Anyway, looking for advice on this unit....good bad or whatever.

Thanks

Yes. Thank you. It's literally THE ONLY video on this unit.

You have to remember that you're talking about a 2009 Georgetown. Videos to market a product weren't as prolific as they are now. Frankly, I was a little surprised that I could find one at all.

I own a 2011 that I've been very happy with. I did have one significant manufacturing issue that may effect yours. FR installs a waterproof plastic tarp between the floor and the frame that supports the floor. The passenger side exhaust manifold put enough heat into the floor frame under the passenger seat to melt the plastic tarp. This exposed the wood flooring to road spray which eventually will rot out the floor in this area.

I fixed this issue by removing the remaining tarp in that area and replacing it with a piece of aluminum flashing that I cut to fit between the frame members. I screwed it into place and sealed the edges and screws using high temperature silicon caulk. I've had no issues since then.

I believe that one of the great features of these rigs is that all of the mechanical components are readily accessible. I was even able to run a new Romex line from the breaker box to the door using all of the existing wiring passages. I did this a few years ago when I needed to provide shore power to the inverter I installed to run my dialysis machine.

A little late but perhaps the brochure may help.

We have a similar model .....337DS built in 2010. Major faults include the bath skylight, roof disintegration thru water intrusion, hydraulic lines to the jacks and slides, caulking on all the outside seams, woodwork in the slides pulling loose, step motor, windshield wiper motor, and front marker lights.
All have been repaired/replaced by owner . If you're not handy RV'S are a money pit!!!
