2010 Georgetown ECM

I have a 2010 Georgetown with a Ford Chassis. The RV shutdown on me on my last trip. Thought it was the fuel pump but after replacing the pump, it ended up being the ECM. Had a Ford mechanic hook the ford computer for diagnostics up, and it is saying the ECM is faulty. P0604 is the code it has. This RV is not that old but they are saying that they do not make this ECM anymore, and it will not run without it. Has anyone had this issue and where would you send the ECM to, to get repaired?? I live south of Houston.

Might want to contact these folks and have the part number handy.

Have you had any luck with these people? I sent it off to a company called hi tech electro ecm in Irving Tx. and they ripped me off for a 1000 bucks. Did absolutely nothing and charged me. They won’t ship it back without money and you have to hardwire money to them. Lessson learned the hard way. So I am hesitant on sending anything off. Thanks.

Sorry, I've never needed their services.

Ugh. Looks like that company you found has some complaints: https://www.bbb.org/us/tx/irving/pro...071/complaints

2010 Georgetown ECM

Well its been two months now and I have not found an ECM for the motorhome in the USA or Canada. I hope no one else has this problem, I am finding out that this particular ECM which runs the motor is very rare. So basically what I have is a large paper weight worth a lot of money that you cannot drive and do anything with. They are telling me that it is old! 12 years is not that old for a motorhome, in which the miles, 39000, is not old at all. Good luck to any of you that have this particular model, I hope your luck is not like mine!!

Do you have a part number you can post and perhaps a picture?

Did you ever get the old one back?

Have you tried salvage places? I do not know how accurate this site is but it's a start: https://camperfaqs.com/rv-salvage-yards

These folks are supposed to have a lot: https://rvparts.visonerv.com/

To confirm, you have a 2010 F53 chassis, right?

Apparently the F53 shared a lot of parts with the Ford F550.You may be able to find an ECM that way.

Part# 9C3A-12A650-AJC. It has a 2009 F series chassis. My assumption was it was a F-550 chassis that is what i have been looking for. Yes I got the old one back, cost 993.00 to get a broken one back. I will look at what you sent. Thank you!!

You might want to ask this person if they'll reduce the price a bit. The ones on their web site are less than $400 but that "9C3A" is not shown there. https://www.ebay.com/itm/174571430440

Yes I seen that but not paying 8k for that and plus they don't have it. I called and they said they would try and find one, but not sure they could. And for that price, 8K, not sure it would be worth it. Also, ford shows they have it but they don't. I have been to a few ford places and they said anywhere from 800 to 1200 and they can order it. After doing some digging, they said they cannot get it at all!! Ecu connection, i called them as well, they dont have it either!

You called "Ford" or the link D W listed? That is not Ford but someone else: https://www.bbb.org/us/fl/bartow/pro...on-information

I was able to add it to their cart, which may not mean a lot.

I talked with a couple of ford places locally, and I called a couple of ford places online that said they had the ecm on their site, but they do not have it and could not get it. They said it would be "vendor delivery". I asked what that was and they didn't know! I called the one you had on ebay, and they said they would try to locate one but that price, 8k was the price.
And don't get me wrong, I love my motorhome and it has been good to me. I am a person that does what i can, i have replaced all the seals on the jacks, had seats redone. I added some small buttons to my ceiling which was coming un-glued, and i think it looks better now. Added new antenna, also have a satellite on it. All new calipers with pads. Nothing major to this point. Motor runs great with no issues "when it runs". But overall the motorhome has been great!! Until now!!!

Sir, I feel your pain. Recently went through the same ordeal. Ford don't make them anymore, no rv recycle yard had one, etc.
After a lot of thinking about my rv, what I had previously done to it, the overall condition, etc., I bit the bullet and ordered one from the ECU Connection. My complaint was, I had to mail it back twice for it to be flashed correctly.
It runs like a new one and looking forward to many more road trips.

I have tried everyone and no one seems to understand how this particular ecm works and they cannot repair it. Funny how "one" ecm works differently than a billion other ecms. A Ford V-10 must be more complicated than i think!!

It surely is. I was gold that every year computer is programmed differently. The Ford deal mechanic installed my new ecm the first time it was programmed
with the pass lock security, which required the key to have the chip in order to unlock the computer. The second time the ecm was not supplying the ground to fire the injectors or spark. The third time worked great. But, I really do not understand the programming being each model year specific.
For your consideration: I wound up with an extra from carcomputer.com for an f53, v10, auto trans, if you want to try it, I will send it to you. If it doesnt work right, send it back

At this point I would be willing to try almost anything. But if it is not the particular year, they "ford" says it will not work. What year is yours?

Does your VIN come back as a 2010 chassis or a 2009 chassis?

Scott, did you ever find one? If so, may I ask where? Someone else may need that information in the future.
