Cool 2014 Georgetown Slide out Maintenance

I have a 2014 Forest River Georgetown 329. How do I get access to the slide out gears and track? When the slides are out you can‘t see anything when you crawl under the rig, it’s all enclosed. Am I missing something.

Just wanting to do some preventative maintenance.

Interesting. I have a 2014 Georgetown XL with three hydraulic and one electric slide. One of the bedroom slides is the electric one and on the outside of the slide you can see a notched track running on each side, and between the slide and the MH floor, plastic rollers. The rams for the hydraulic slides are accessed via the outside storage compartments below each slide and on the underside the have plastic rollers.

I’ll look again, but it looks like the underside is all enclosed. The Bedroom slide has the Teflon rollers on the underside as does the main slide out.

I do have the cables showing when the slides are extended. I guess what I’m looking for are there any gears or other moving parts that I should be looking at to lube or check regularly?

Motor above the slide

I have a 2014 GT 328ts. I had problems with the bedroom slide after the first year. I’m having problems now with our living room slide but haven’t gotten into it yet. Both have cables.

Bedroom Slide:
Above the slide there is a decorative wood like panel. This has to be removed. Behind that panel is an electric motor that drives the gear that moves the chain. Yes a chain, about two foot long. Attached to each end of the chain is sort of an L bracket which connects the cable to the chain.

In my case that L bracket turned and disconnected the electrical connection to the motor. I tighten the Chain/Cable connection to keep the bracket from turning again and all was fine. When I got back to home base I had that slide serviced. They fine tuned in tension and all has been fine.

There are some videos on YouTube on adjusting your cable slides.
