2016 Lippert jack says jacks down when up

I have a 2016 Georgetown 364TS that was in storage with all power off.

Went I went to use jacks, I noticed that the jacks down ligh was on. I reset by pressing 4 arrows for 5 seconds, but problem persists. I reset the fuse in the battery compartment, still no love.

I am starting to think that I need to add fluid. If so where is the tank and what type of fluid should I add? What’s recommended. By factory?

Any other suggestions?

My parents Thor has the Lippert system and they had a problem like this last year while driving. Their motorhome had a leak. The system uses a pressure switch on the upside of the hydraulic system to determine if the jacks are up. We tried to retract their jacks a couple of times and then found a leaky hose dripping underneath. I suspect you have a hose or pressure switch problem.

Assuming no other issues, indicates either low fluid or the pressure switch. Cycle the jacks/slides a few times. The pressure switch is the blue item on the main hydraulic unit. The fluid level with all jacks and slides retracted should be about 1" below fluid reservoir fill port. The reservoir is part of the main hydraulic unit (it's plastic attached to the pump). The fluid is ATF with Dexron III or Mercon 5 or a blend of both as recommended by Lippert Components, Inc.

Lippert article on jack fluid: https://lci-support-doc.s3.amazonaws...cd-0002088.pdf

The "Jacks Down" light simply means that the hydraulic pressure on the retract side, the orange hoses on ours, has dropped below 2,150 PSI. That is not uncommon for something that has sat for a long time. Just hit Retract All. That will run the pump and build pressure.

The fluid reservoir MAY be near the propane tank but I do not know the older models very well.

As usual Ray, your info saved us. We were also needing hydraulic (or ATF) and not knowing what to buy. Thanks again.

The system needs to see pressure in the system to turn off the light. Press the power button then the “retract all” button. The pump should run the jacks up and then turn off once it builds pressure.

Edit, looks like I’m 3 days too late, as Ray already had their problem taken care of.
