2018 369xl large slide clunk!

The large slide moves in and out fine and seals fine,BUT, it seems to be unrestrained fore and aft resulting in a rather loud "clunk" when stopping and starting and is noticeable at times with coach motion. The amount of motion is not large but because of the size of the slide, the sound is very noticeable. Help, please, anyone?

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. Many slides mine included wiggle in different directions when in motion. The clunk you here may be as tension is put on the operating get it is hitting the slide box. Do a complete inspection of the gear while the slide is out to ensure all parts are secure.

Thank you for the response.. That was the second thing I did after making sure there wasn't a bowling ball rolling free in the compartment as the clunk is that heavy. The guy I talked to at Norco (very responsive and helpful by the way) gave me a couple of other things to check.

When I had a clunk it was a loose cable. The cable shuttles were hitting each other. Watch the below video at seven minutes. A white locking nut fell off.

Mine moves forward and back about 3/16” to 1/4” when I brake or hit gas hard. The side guides for this are behind the wiper seals and cannot be accessed without removing the slide.

Thanks for letting me know that this happens to someone else. Have you seen the side guides? Is there a fix? I understand that the slide out "floats" a bit, but something should keep it from moving too far. I appreciate your response.

There at the bottom on outside. Lift the wiper seal you will see them. There rollers like on the bottom. One in each side they may have two at the top as well I’m not sure. I was told by RV service shop. That slide had to come out to adjust them. It’ didn’t move when motorhome was new. It started about 3 years in. It is now 5 years old. I’m just going to live with it until trade in at 7 years old.
