2018 Georgetown 36B Issues

I have a 2018 Georgetown 36B and have a problem with the transmission not shifting properly when going up a steep hill. RPM's drop to 1000 and the engine does not respond to the gas pedal being depressed. This happened twice to me this past weekend. I thought the engine was going to stall. However I don't have this when using cruise control and the engine increase rpm's without a problem. Any help would be appreciated.

I would take it in and have it checked out. Sounds like when the old “manual kickdown” was not set properly. Had similar situation when entering a highway recently, though not as bad. I thought I should have dropped another a gear, (as peddle was to the metal), but didn’t.

Thanks for the response. Just dropped it off at the Ford dealer tonite for service. Hopefully will know in a few days what is causing the problem.
