2018 Georgetown 5 top?

The top is textured with gravely type finish. It has a hard sound when you peck on it. My wife and son picked it up for me so I did ask this question, is it rubber or vinyl. I have washed it a few times and keep in in a garage but wanted to wax or treat the top but don’t know what exactly to use.

Probably fiberglass. The later ones are.

Thank I thought so but was not sure. It feels like fiber glass. Now I wonder if I can use gel gloss on it

A 2018 Georgetown would have a fiberglass roof. Feel free to wax it if you like but I personally would not. It's really not needed and would probably make your roof more slippery when checking your seals around your vents and A/Cs. Make sure that any product you use on your roof is safe not only for the fiberglass roof itself but also does not contain any substance that may negatively react with the sealants on your roof.

It is fiberglass with a non-skid finish similar to what is put on a boat deck. It is done that way on purpose so that you can safely inspect the seals. I would not wax it. It gets pretty slippery up there when wet as it is.

Ditto on no wax. Just wash and clean with normal car washing products. It's a lot safer to work up there with a gritty surface!
The only thing you need to do to maintain an FRP roof is to Renew the Sealant around any openings as you inspect and notice deterioration. DICOR works well for this.

Yep, fiberglass. Just keep,it washed. Since you keep,it in doors the roof will last almost indefinitely. The only issue with the textured surface is the low spots like to collect all the dirt. So when you clean it get a semi stiff bristle brush. This will get all the low points clean. I wish mine with car wash that has wax in it.
