2020 GT 7 - added sumo springs

In a previous thread I mentioned that my GT 7 sway was crazy....anyway I settled on Sumo Springs for my first fix... Sway is gone....This Rig is new to me...so has anyone who added Sumo Springs noticed when you hit “bad” expansion joints that your RV almost flys off the ground?
Any suggestions? Traveled from Texas through Arkansas,Tennessee, Kentucky to Ne Ohio? Memphis I swear we were airborne...kids were in the back bed and said they went at least a foot off the bed

After i added the sumos it eliminated the sway but added a ruff ride. Found out that my oem shocks were useless. Added front bilsteins and i finally have a drivable rv.

I do not have Sumos but I switched the factory Sachs shocks to four Koni FSDs with 800 miles on the odometer and it was a massive improvement in the ride, especially on bridge joints. The motorhome stopped feeling like and sounding like it was coming apart.

I have a Garmin RV 785 which has a built-in dashcam. When the RV 785 thinks you've been in an "incident" it bleeps and automatically records an "event", meaning it saves 1.5 minutes of video before and after.

The RV 785 recorded "events" fairly regularly, particularly on one section of a local road. After switching to the FSDs we very rarely get an "event". All the way to FL from NE Ohio and back on I-75 triggered precisely one incident. That local road section no longer does and it also now feels like any section of the road even though it's still junk.

Ha! My dash cam does the same thing. When I first looked at the SDCARD I looked in the events folder that saves crash info and it was packed with images and video! That pretty much sums up the stock suspension....

Mine has almost every add on you can do to an F53. I have never driven a DP,with air suspension but the ride of mine is amazing. It floats down the road. The previous owner also replaced he shocks with Konis IIRC. The only time you feel anything is very bad bridge expansion joints. And even with that it's not bad. What air pressures are you running? The Sumos should make it a smooth ride.

Do you have sumos front and rear? What tire pressure do you run? My F53 has front and rear sway bars added and steering stabilizer. My next upgrade will be sumos and shocks. Drives down the road just fine now but would like to get rid of thumps and bumps from broken pavement etc. I run about 85 lbs. front and rear.

My front summos GT270

Just added front summo. Rear since new April 2017.
Just drove LA to Sacramentonto on I5. Sway Improved more.
Normal concrete transition improve. Bad truck wear sections still knock teeth out.
On a 30 day trip CA OR CA. Will report if I think staying with stock Bilsteins good enough
