Do you have the seat buckle unbuckled? I'm asking because I used to forget to unbuckle it and it has an electrical safety switch inside.

You should have gotten a little tool with a white wheel on it and a hex rod, maybe 6" long. That is the bunk manual raising and lowering tool. Because Forest River did not drill a hole in that "hump" on the bottom of the bunk that covers the motor, you need to remove that cover and insert that tool into the motor. Otherwise you could just insert the tool through the hole without removing the cover.

Then you can turn that tool with the wheel and raise or lower the bunk.

There also is a fuse somewhere but I have no idea where.

On my 2019 34H5, the fuse for the bunk is in the battery compartment directly connected to the battery. It is like a add on fuse holder.

I would check the following items: 1. Is the seat belt buckle undone? 2. Is the Key turned to "on"? 3. Check the fuse in the battery compartment to the left of the entry door. See pics below. The fuse is located towards the back of the compartment. You can also call our Service Department @ (574) 206-7600 please have the last 6 of your VIN number ready if you call.

My 2020 36D7 just did the same thing a few days ago. Seat belt is unbuckled, and the switch is on. There's a fuse panel over the door that has a fuse for the bed lift, and the monitor on that panel says that fuse is good. Guess I'll look inside the battery compartment.

Dave1957, I'm hopeful it's just the fuse in the battery compartment. If for some reason you might need further assistance please let me know!

Well, sure enough, the fuse in the battery compartment is blown. You folks rock! Just saved me a 100-mile trip to the dealer. I'll pick up a few spares tomorrow. Thanks!

Make sure the key is off when the bunk is up or down. Particularly up and buckled. It helps to keep that fuse from blowing. If you leave the key on while driving and the bunk is up you are more likely to blow it.

I wonder why that would be. The seat buckle has an electrical interlock switch inside so "key off" or "buckled up" both do the same thing. I forget to turn the key off regularly but always have it buckled and haven't blown a fuse in the year we've had it.
