351 DS bedroom door track

Has anyone modified the bedroom door track so the door isn't constantly off? I am going to figure it out when we get back to base, but I figure mine can't be the only one with the problem.

It's on the bucket list of things to fix. First the latch catch on the door fell off since the screws don't have much to bite on. Then bottom wooden tracks, etc. fell off. I ended up wedging them opened with flip flops while on the road.

My bottom door guide was all screwed up. I pulled it and reset it in a different location and raised it up by cutting a small piece of ply wood and mounting it underneath the guide. Now the doors stay in the guide when opening and closing.

I fixed the track. Here is a pic incase anyone else needs to do it. This is a simple fix. All you need is to cut. 2x4 at 2" then drill and screw it to the floor.

Good idea Preadus. I ended up reinforcing everything with epoxy

Does anyone either have a place to buy the bottom guide or the dimensions on it so I can make one myself? I purchased a used 2008 351ds and it is completely missing.

Thanks!

And for the door catch because the screws come out,( and actually messed up the finish on the door ) I used the same holes and the same little bracket but replaced the regular screws with barrel screws. They go all the way thru the door and the smooth heads show on the other side but is very strong now. You can get the little barrel bolts at any Ace hardware or the like.

Same thing happened to ours. I need to find some touch up paint. I wonder if there is some sort of tape that matches the wood grain.

No, not yet. I'd appreciate it as Forest River tells me to go to my local dealer (Camping World) and they seem not to want to respond.

I'll get some measurements for you.

You need to make two of these. Recommend installing a block underneath the one that attaches to the wall.

Hubby was able to buy standard track hardware at Lowe's and fix ours.
