351DS Assistance
Hi everyone,
I just purchased a 2016 Georgetown 351DS last week and I have a few things that are currently kicking my butt and I'm hoping I can get some good advice and help.
1. How do I get the T.V. to work off of the batteries in the coach while driving down the road? I believe that the inverter that I have is power the refrigerator only. Is there anyway I can get it to power more outlets, or do I have to buy another inverter? It's a Xantrex PROwatt SW 2000 that is in the unit.
2. For the life of me I cannot get any t.v. to acquire antenna t.v.. I have the skyjack and all the lights are blue so I'm assuming that is a great signal. I have the button pushed that sits over the passenger seat. I have went through and tightened every line that I can see. I switched the little box that sits above the passenger seat as well to antenna. Their are 5 t.v.s all with a cable hooked up and I cannot get a single one to acquire a channel. Help
I'll start with these.... I have more but these are my two headache right now

I’ve got. 2014 351DS and like yours, my inverter only powers the fridge. Your best bet would be to wire up another system as running the fridge plus other appliances could exceed your 2k watt capacity on the inverter. I’m considering doing something similar just to power chargers for the kids devices while on the road. In this case I may just run an extension cord from the open port on the inverter into the coach as it won’t consume a lot of juice.

1. The 2000w inverter should supply enough power for refrigerator and TV plus other items. It will supply 1800 watts continuously. You will have to run an extension cord to the GFI outlet in the basement where the inverter is mounted or access the outlet for the refrigerator which is behind the pantry, accessible thru a round screw out cover.
2. To use your TV on antenna, you will have to go to Menu - Installation and change the Setup from Cable to Air for each TV.

351DS Assistance
I have a 351 DS and installed an additional inverter as well as powers switch so that it will switch between the inverter, generator and shore power. It was pretty easy. I think I put detailed instructions with pictures on the forum. I’ll see if I can find it.....
Well I can't find it, but you will need to install a prowatt sw from xantrex near the fuse box under the bed. and run an extension cord to an inverter. locate the inverter near the batteries to minimize the DC power loss.

I have a 2017 351ds. The residential fridge and the tv do not overload the inverter. This was the first thing I did

I set up all of the t.v.'s but still no go. I'm assuming that there is a splitter somewhere that the antenna goes into and then out to all the t.v.'s.

I changed the outlet the fridge is plugged into. I tapped into that with romex and ran a line under the cabinet towards the door behind the fire extinguisher. I then drilled a hole through the counter top. Ran the wire up outside the wall and drilled another hole into bottom of cabinet. Wire ran into cabinet behind tv where I installed another outlet that I plugged tv into. Currently working on decorative wood cover for the wire to hide it. I couldn't successfully find a way to route the wires through the walls.

Also. The DVD player does not play to the outside TV. I unplugged the HDMI cable from the tv that is the input from the DVD. That went into a splitter. From the splitter I ran 1 HDMI back to the tv and another down through the holes I made for the romex for the tv power, under the countertop and to the outside tv. Now I have DVD on outside tv.

Where was the outlet for the refrigerator located?

2 things that were bothering the heck out of me. I just bought this last week and was trying to figure these things out. What do you know about t.v. antennas? I cannot get any of my t.v.'s to acquire antenna channels. My skyjack has full power but no tv's will get a channel. I have looked for loose connections everywhere. It's hard to find things.

Near the floor to the left of your fridge is a wood panel with slots in it. This is your air intake / recirculate for your propane furnace heater. Take out I think 4 screws and the outlet is on bottom right side. It's a single outlet. I thought about making it a dual outlet and running an extension cord. And also in the side of the countertop near the door and stairs to outside is an outlet. I considerd making that the outlet on the inverter and then just run short extension from back of tv to there. But I didn't want kids (mine are 3,6, and 8) to play or pull on it.

Like said before. All tv have to be set to air in menu options. Next above passenger front seat in cabinet is the cable/air switcher that has to be set to air. And turned on, would be a blue light I think. Then turn on power antenna, more blue lights, get good signal. Then go to tv and do a channel search. That's what I do. Other than that I don't know

In that cabinet is the switch plate there's a little push button switch I believe the light should be on and the switcher box should be set to whatever your using cable or air

Yeah I've tried everything mentioned above. I'm guessing its a loose connection somewhere behind the paneling.

Dumb question but are the tv plugged in with cable or the signal line?

The coax that comes from the campers are connected to the antenna connection on the back of the t.v.
