364ts toad weight

Anyone know the tow weight for the 2016 364ts? I see the receiver says 5k. I thought I read in the vehicle it can pull 6k. I don’t mind swapping out receivers but I just bought a suburban and went to order the base plate and stumbled across different numbers.
Anyone pulling a suburban or Yukon xl?
Motorhome is in storage or I would go look at the tag.

I have 2017 GT 251DS. We pull a 2012 F150 that I weighed at my former employers scale (so I know it is accurate ) @5960. I know Im over the hitch rating but it works just fine.

5000 lbs. In all the paperwork I have seen. The hitch has a label affixed that says 5000 as well.

might be overloaded with that Suburban

From the 2016 Forest River Brochure that can be found on this link:

https://library.rvusa.com/brochure/2...wnbrochure.pdf

It looks like you might be overloaded with that combo..

MODEL 364TS
GCWR (lb.) 26,000
GVWR (lb.) 22,000
GAWR Front 8,000
GAWR Rear 15,000
Wheelbase 242"

GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) – The maximum
permissible weight of the unit, including the Unloaded
Vehicle Weight (UVW) plus all fluids, occupants, cargo,
optional equipment and accessories. For safety and
product performance, do not exceed the GVWR.

GCWR (Gross Combined Weight Rating) – The
maximum total weight of the loaded unit, plus a tow
vehicle. This includes the weight of both the unit and tow
vehicle, fuel for each, all other fluids, cargo, occupants,
optional equipment and accessories.

Craig is correct. The capacity of the hitch has noting to do with what u can safely tow. It is unlikely that u can pull a suburban. Before spending money on a baseplate get both vehicles weighed at a truck stop.

Thanks. Yeah it looks like it would be overloaded. I have talked to a few dealerships and it’s funny how each one will tell you what you want to hear just to sell you something. I have head a few people towing with this and only upgrading the hitch. Looks like we will be doing some mods before our next toad trip.
