ac unit compressor terminals fried

Dometic 13500 rear unit on 2015 377. Compressor not working, thought it was capacitor, not. When i pulled the small rubber cap off top of compressor I found comman terminal burned off. Was on another site and seems this has happened before to people & said to get a terminal repair kit all will be good. Also, how to glue little round plastic thing beside the comman terminal back on compressor. anyone have same issues? will it work jerre turner

Jerre, hJerry,.
I have used "Terminall repair kits" several times. All with excellent results. I have used them on 5 ton A/C compressors to 30 amp hot melt units. I hope you have at least 1/2" posts. That's what you will need. There are mediocre Terminal kits to much better ones. If I can find pictures of the better one, I'll post it.
