Antifreeze (AF) for 2005 Georgetown

Hello everyone. First time poster. We just recently purchased a used Class A. It is in great condition and we want to use it. I understand the winterization and dewinterization process but not with this coach. We are in Virginia where the weather is all over the thermometer. If I dewinterize, I will have to winterize again but I cant seem to find waterpump are the correct place to introduce the AF. Can I just put it directly into the city water inlet? Will this get AF to the water pump? I have learned so much by reading the forums but could not find anything specific to the 359XL.

Thanks in advance for everything.

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. To answer your question NO putting AF in the city water connection will not put it in the pump there is a check valve to prevent that consider installing one of these if you don't have it.

Thank you sir. I am looking into one of those Winterizing Kits. I just found the water pump but it has such a small access port, I dont know if I can do this as a DIY project. Wish me luck.

the bypass does not have to be installed right at the pump just somewhere in the suction line. It may be that if you follow the pump suction line you will find a space that has room to work.

On my Georgetown there was a panel over the fresh water tank with 2 small access holes in it to be able to winterize. I removed the flexible panel to be able to access the area better. Good Luck!

Exactly what RudysWorld said.

My Georgetown had a thin black plastic wall with 2 screw in access doors hiding the fresh water tank and the pump. Also found the in-line fuse for the water pump there. Removing the wall gives complete access to bypass hose for winterizing. I think they install the plastic wall just to protect things from any luggage you might toss in this area.

On the pax side two access doors from the back is the access. Open the door, slide the plastic panel aft and you’ll see the pump and a plastic clear tube to stick in the jug. To access the water bottle valves lay on your back under the water bottle exhaust panel. You’ll see a white 4” disk like what’s in the shower. Unscrew it and with a flash light you’ll see the red, blue and bypass valve. The valves are white but the pex is colored

As stated above the bypass and siphon line for af is behind the plastic panel in the LP bay. Mine has 2 screw doors but it’s easier to work on by removing the panel. The hot water bypass is under the water heater. Look under and see a screw door.
