ArticPack is a supposedly extra insulation package installed in your rig. Don't put too much faith in it.

I have a 2017 Georgetown 364ts and the artic pac does great job of keeping inside lines from freezing if you have furnace on . But they say there are places you need to put extra heat like outdoor shower and be sure to disconnect water hose and fill your fresh water tank and empty your black tank and put drains away because they will freeze solid. Others will have much better detailed info but this is what U have read and experienced so far. Good Luck

Aside from extra insulation, you have tank heaters to keep them from freezing. There is a switch someplace convenient to turn them on. Dashboard I assume.

The arctic pac is thermostat controlled and will turn off if temp gets over 40. It also will not hurt empty tanks. When the propane heater is on there are vents that put warm air to the plumbing.

Owners manuals say do not use the arctic pac without water in the tanks.

We may buy a FR C class Sprinter Solera 2015 with the Arctic Pac. Does anyone have any thoughts on how low the temps can get and us still be okay to camp without freezing anything?

Arctic Pac. on my 07 never froze while we were at 15 below the only problem was we forgot about the furness we use another heat souse and it kept main heater from coming on as much. So were the heat come from down under to heat water areas gray water and black waster valves froze. We has to use a hair dyer to warm them to open to empty them.If we use the main hear it wouldn't have been a problem'

I'm glad that you were able to get out of the jam you were in but it's good to know that you can get out there in the cold. What "07" RV were you in at the time? Was it a Solera or something different?

Think of the Arctic PAC switch as controlling an electric blanket.
Don’t need it ON unless temperature will be freezing or below.
Warm weather camping? Leave it OFF.

Thanks for the reply. The switch has two positions, ARCTIC and PAC. I don't know which setting is off. Do you know what PAC stands for?

No... the name of the switch is Arctic Pak and its name is written one word above the switch and one word below the switch. If it were a switch for a ceiling fan, it wouldn't have one setting for ceiling and one for fan.

Does the switch have an internal light? My arctic pak (pack) switch in my Wildcat is not labeled but if I turn it on (switch in up position), an internal light comes on - same as my water pump switch.

Ah so. Got it. Thanks Mr. Dan. Yes the switch lights up in the on position. I was afraid to touch it without knowing anything about it. Very much appreciate the info.

Now and then, I find my switch on (red light blazing) and discover "one of us" has hit it with an elbow while climbing the 5er's stairs!
