ATF Fluid in Lipperd Slide/Jack Tank

I recently purchased a 2006 Georgtown 36 ft. limited SE. Yesterday I noticed that the fluid in the hydraulic tank of the Lipperd leveling pump for the slides and jacks was about one inch low for ATF fluid. Lipperd recommends ATF with Dexron III or Mercon 5 or a blend of both.
Problem is that I do not know what type of ATF is in there now.
Is there any problem in adding new to the old ATF ?
Thanks--guy

No. Use either type. Lippert recommends a 36 month replacement, so you could consider just doing that too.

Good advice
suck out the old stuff
and replace with new.
It's a easy job,
and don't over-fill it,
or you'll have a mess when you retrack the
slides and legs

Good luck

Lippert recommends doing a fluid change with jacks up and slides in to maximize the amount of fluid in the reservoir. The little bit left in the jacks and lines will get mixed with the fresh fluid as you operate the system.

If you still have some creaking they recommend adding more additive.

I use standard original ATF (Type A) as per the Lippert manual.
