Calibrate AC Thermostat

I did a search first, but I did not find any threads on how to Calibrate the Dometic AC Thermostat. I was sure someone would have asked this question before now, but ...

SO, is it possible to modify (adjust up or down) the actual current temperature the controller thinks it is seeing? I have accurate temp gauges right next to the thermostat controller and it is off by 4-5 degrees.

Can't you just adjust your temps down 4-5 and then you'd be getting the temp you wanted? I don't think a wall mounted thermostat encased in plastic will ever read the same as one mounted externally

The thermistors they use in these t-stats aren't the highest grade and therefore can be off several degrees. You could buy a sack full of thermistors and find one that is closer to the actual temp, or you could series a small resistor with the thermistor if it's reading too high, or you could just live with it and adjust the setpoint off the number of degrees the t-stat is off.

I've looked at those units and don't remember seeing a pot to trim the thermistor input with. It would certainly be nice if there were.
