Cummings generator

So I have a 2011 Georgetown class a with Cummings generator that's giving me problems. It shuts off after 15 minutes. Took it to Cummings twice and the two times they say nothing is wrong with it. It turns off right after I turn on the ac.

I am no expert but it could be a number of things, please post the model of generator and if you are getting an error code when it stalls. Onan uses a blink and pause error code. It will blink a number of times, pause, then blink again.

They should be in the manual for the unit but here's an online site that lists them.

Hopefully, someone with a similar past issue can assist.

I have found that most Cummins shops don't like to work on generators. Only a few of their Tecs are specifically trained for generator repair. My past experiences with Cummins were very expensive - it seemed like they just changed parts until it ran O K.

Independent generator shops usually do better repairs because that is all they work on.

My current generator had problems like yours. The generator shop found it was screws that were loose and leaked air sometimes. but mostly under a load.

I would try the error codes like TominVegas said and maybe you can fix it.

As a former employee of Cummins, seeing it spelled wrong is a major pet peeve!

I would say you have a clogged fuel filter - when the 'draw' is applied, the air conditioner, the generator then 'speeds up' to accommodate the needed energy - which exacerbates any existing 'issue' that might not be noticed otherwise.

I'm also assuming that you are saying that the generator itself is TURNING OFF when this happens, not that it's BREAKER(S) are tripping when you apply the a/c unit, which is a different story.
