I am working on my RV roof maintenance before heading for another long trip. I did watch some of the youtube videos regard to update the roof sealant, there are some people using the ETERNABOND TAPE to cover all of there existing Dicor sealant, then use DICOR to edge around the tape. This looks very clean and in my opinion, maybe protect the roof much longer and maybe even better than the DICOR alone which could be torn or crack anytime depending on the weather as well as due to the movement of the coach.

Also, one video mentioned that the resale value of the coach would not be as good if the next buyer sees there are too many ETERNABOND tapes were used on the roof. This kinda conflicts with my thought.

That said, since I am new to the RV life stuff, I was wondering if you could share with me your thought about using ETERNABOND tape to cover all of my existing DICOR then use DICOR to edge around the tape, to provide more protection for the roof.

Thank in advance.

I use the eternabond tape and love it. Big piece of mind to not have to worry about leaks. On my current fifth wheel which is 2 years old, I resealed with dicor and let it cure while I ordered the eternabond.
I then applied the eternabond tape. Now all I have to do is inspect a couple of times a year when I clean the roof. It's very satisfying to hear it raining and knowing it ain't leaking from the roof. Good luck
