Dometic Power awning fabric replacement

I have a 2008 Forest River Georgetown DS373 which was purchased new. The Dometic power awning needs the fabric replaced. Took motor home to Camp World to have the fabric replaced. Camp World supplied Dometic with the awning model number and serial number and Dometic determined that the awning was a 12 foot awning. Camp World received the replacement fabric today and went to install it and the new fabric is 19 inches longer than the roller tube. Technician measured the awning from center of awning arms and it is 10’5”. Looks like the awning was modified by forest river when the motor home was built and did not relabel the roller tube. I now have replacement fabric for a 12’ awning tha does not fit on a 10’ 5” awning. Dometic will not take the fabric back because they said it was a custom order. When asked if they could supply replacement fabric for the 10’5” awning we were told no they don’t cut fabric in custom widths it would have to be either 11,(too long), or 10’ (too short). I am extremely disappointed with domestic’s customer service. Anyone else with a Georgetown Ds373 had this problem?

I ordered mine from these folks. good website and videos on how to measure and replace. New fabric is much better than original.

Find a local canvas products place and I bet they can cut and hem it to any length you need. A window awning place may be able to do that as well. They're equipped to deal with heavy material.

Any marine canvas place can knock that out in about 20 minutes tops!
