Driver side window lock

The driver and passenger side windows keep making noise when on the road. The wing-nut style locks are loose and won't keep the closed.
Anyone have a solution?
Is there a tool that can tighten these?

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. What year is your rig that will help in getting the best answer. I'm sure someone on the forum will have a fix.

Here's what I did when the plastic lock broke. I bought a new plastic wing nut, SS screw with nylon locking but and 2 washer. I put the washer between the plastic wing nut and the window frame. You can also fill out the rivet and fix accordingly. Nice and snug with no wind noise. Click image for larger version

I found that the small rubber gasket pieces that are designed to keep the window from rattling when closed will deform and not allow the window to close completely. That is if you have the horizontal sliding windows. I replaced mine with Home Depot rubber insulation pieces.

Our Georgetown drivers window is a pain. Every time wife tries to open it the whole gasket and metal piece fall off! I've pushed the gasket back on and then the metal piece with the lock on it and then the next day I hear nasty words from the passenger seat and the whole assembly is again on the floorboard. Any ideas??

I had the same issue with the window opening a little and creating road noise. I read on this forum that someone used a spring-loaded curtain rod to hold the window closed. I tried it and it worked...no more noise. At some point I would like to try wrapperman's solution

GPCI

I simple added a self sticking thin weather stripping in the verticals track on my sliding unit , no more air leak while driving,
As for the metal trim separating from the glass , try adding a small bead of silicone when you reattached it .
