A lot of that going around. See at least one every time we go out and that's once a month.

I went a solid 60mph.
Passed by everyone. No worries. Got an avg of 8.5mpg with the gen running off and on.
More on, the further south I got.
MH and trailers passed me.
I felt great.

And you probably will have less problems with your unit over the long haul. You know how bad the bumps felt at your speed. Think how/what that does at their speed!

Boy this is going off course. Death wobble is from 2 things, incorrect caster and/or worn out parts. Not speed.
OP,
Did you contact SCT Tuners to see if their programmer will lift the speed limiter like it does on the pickups and cars?

If I had the money to buy a Prevost or one of the diesel pushers with 400+HP, I might travel at 75mph. They're geared and powered for that. Just look at the intercity coaches flying by.
But my Georgetown? Seriously?
Why take the chance at those speeds. Besides my toad has documentation not to exceed 65mph or do serious damage to the tranny.

It was more the fact, that them doing 75, hitting the bumps, and trying to swerve around other cars not doing 75....
It’s no wonder there’s a billboard for lawyers every 5 miles. Well that, and adult stores? You people must really like both!

The E450 isn’t limited to 75 mph.

I hear yah on the dangers of driving reckless but running open highway I can see why the OP is asking whether it's agreed with or not I respect his inquiry.
Hope the Fort is treating you good!

All of today's engines have Engine Control Modules,ECM's that control everything, if it is Limiting RPM's or Speed it can be changed by simply plugging into the OBDII port with a compatible computer. Good Luck

I spoke with my contact at GT last night, he said he vaguely remembers the speed setting is 82-85. That would be fine with me - it would allow for extra when required in a non standard "emergency" situation. I passed this info on to the local Ford Dealer and they are contacting "level 2" at Ford to find out the "How to Reset the Parameter". They should receive instructions on how to modify the mis-set parameter with their equipment when connected to the ECM.
FYI for all, it is not any rpm or power limitation, strictly max allowed speed. I'll update when this is resolved.

Solution Update
Ford , ... **cks! Discovered on Thor/Ace Forum (Google Search - not member) that there is a 75mph max speed limit for unknown reasons. Long story short, found company aware of this and other improper & incorrect settings in the PCM!
I just ordered the tool to fix it - modifies PCM. I'll update with full details (including company, ...) after I receive and install "fixes".

Update - Success
After being deceived, lied to, ... at my local Ford Dealer (among others), I did more research and found of all places on a Thor Forum (no I am not a member - it just showed up in a Google search) that they confirmed the scenario.
The F53 does have a 74-75 mph governor installed via the engine ECU (my GT contact was mistaken or had old bad info). There is no logic on which RV models or RV manufacturers have this absurd feature as a standard factory setting, but some do, some don't. The only way to know is to try. An acquaintance of mine has a Class C that well exceeds that number.
Ford will not say anything, refuses to admit it, ... I've heard every excuse in the world as to why, but there is no valid excuse IMHO. It is a safety factor!
So after the research, I decided to try 5 Star Tuning ( Custom Dynomometer Chassis Tuning Products and Services). It is expensive, most may gag on the price, but the problem is no more!
I took my RV out for a test run and I no longer have the max limit imposed by Ford. I will still stay in the 60-65 range when by myself, 70-72 when following another at a safe distance, but now have the ability to extricate myself from dangerous situations should they develop.

Still don't see your safety issue! Drove truck for 37 years with governors. I'm still here!

Thanks for the follow up. I figured a tune was the easiest way and that's why I suggested it. Ford doesn't like changing factory set parameters and in many cases can't.

Thanks for understanding the point of the post. Forum rules are supposed to "eliminate the politics of posts", but ... The problem is solved and I was posting to assist others that may not know, understand, .... not to say my way or the highway - lol. Unlike many with too much time, I don't post comments daily, just learned facts to assist others. The decision to use or not use them is up to the individual.
The Ford dealers are unable to change ECU parameters without dispensation from their Pope, Rabbi, ... Ford Corporate refuses. I will certainly keep that in mind whenever me or my family decide on another vehicle, ...

Walk into the Chevy dealer and ask if they will remove the speed limiter on a corvette...
No manufacturer will do that.
That’s what the aftermarket is for.

Good luck, keep a good lawyer close at hand "just in case". They do investigate unusual accidents, don't they? Speed limit probably figured on antiquated truck chassis, not on
Engine horsepower.

My Gtown well exceeds 75mph, first hand knowledge. I'm not sure corvettes have a speed limiter. I know my cobra mustang didn't. Came with factory certificate with top speed rating. The '97s had to do at least 150mph or the went back into the shop.
