Entry Door Strut Bracket type?
I have a 2021 GEORGETOWN 36K7. The door bracket for the strut broke. I can not find the part or a picture of the part that looks like mine. I am hoping someone out there can help me. I want to find the same bracket.
I have attached my picture of it.

Moved thread from the Tech and Repair section to the Motorhome section's Georgetown sub-forum for better help from other Georgetown owners and possible factory support.

I don't have a picture of one but there is normally just a ball the is part of your mount (is apparently missing on yours.) The strut presses down over the ball.

Strut Bracket
Hello, have you tried taking the bracket off and look where the ball stud used to be? You should be able to remove the remaining broken part, and screw in a new 10mm ball stud. Most auto part stores have them in stock or go with an online vendor. Usually cost around $6 for a two pack.

Great thought. Mine is really loose. Thanks!

Well, at least you have a supporting bracket. My '23 36D7 only has the ball studs going into the threshold and into bottom of door.
broke loose twice already.
I done what I can to reinforce the poor design and workmanship, but next up is a tether strap to limit how far it opens.

McMaster-Carr always a good source to find small parts. Use them all the time at work, sometimes they can be a bit pricey but usually have items in stock and can ship the same day.

If you have about 8" between the upper set of hinges on the door and about 8" between the lower set of hinges on the door then consider using Lippert's friction hinges.
FR has changed the door a few times so I don't know what you have. At least a few people with a later GT7 had to drill out the rivets on an upper hinge and on a lower hinge and replace it with the friction hinges.
Ours just went between the two sets.

It would be great if it is that easy! I will try to remove the bracket and see if it is a screw-in type or not.

Don’t think so

At least it won’t work in the 2022 36D7
And the screw holes don’t line up either on this suggested part

My 36D7 does not have room for a bracket like pictured earlier either. In fact that problem is what made the strut fall off the second day I had mine home. It has no clearance, and hitting the door threshold plate tears it loose. I.....made more room for the strut head by peening down the threshold plate where it was going to rub.

I removed the bracket and it just sits flat on the step. Then I thought I could drill a hole in the spot of the ball stud and get a long screw ball stud with a washer and screw it in from the underside. Unfortunately, the steps are blocking, and the thought of removing them to replace the ball stud does not sound worth it to me.
Thanks for the suggestion.

I believe that it will work. You just have to relocate/move the mounting position vs using the original mounting holes that FR made/uses.
Otherwise you will have to contact FR and order them from their parts department if it is still available .
