Fireplace Insert
Can anyone help me find a New Fireplace Insert.
I have an 08 - XL 378TS and the fireplace computer board got fried, and the company that makes them is out of business. FR says they can't supply me with one.
Has this happen to anyone else?
Thanks......Joe

How funny is it that we're talking about fireplaces in RVs - and more so the computer board in our fireplaces?

You hang around here too much you will never have a chance to enjoy your trailer or motorhomes.

I hear ya. On cold nights and mornings, sure would be welcome here. Too, you can run it without heat I presume for nice ambient lighting and atmosphere.
Hope you find your replacement soon.

Amen brother; fireplace on and the big screen with the computer's reef tank screen saver running.
Here is what I have for the fireplace in my Flagstaff.

Yes you can turn off the heat and you still have fan speeds and also the amount of backlight/flames
We use it for the cold nights we have here in Arizona.
Actually when we travel and the night temps get in the upper 30's or low 40's we set the thermostat to turn on when it gets in the 30's
I like much better than the forced air furnace with propane.
Here is a picture of mine

I installed an electric fireplace in our Georgetown where there wasn't one originally. Keep watching the big box stores for when they go on sale. Sometimes the "fake" brickwork and such is good for nothing but burning in a real fire. I just used the electronic workings, made a few measurements, and installed into a cut out I made in the cabinets/drawers. Make sure to check with the DW before sacrificing drawer space.
We love the ambience of watching the fireplace flames, and being able to keep the chill off without using propane when hooked up at full services campgrounds. It has a thermostat so we can dial in the exact temperature in silence.
