Flojet black water pump

Got one from Camping World on sale and used it the first time this week. Tank was very full and the pump over heated and stopped but I let it cool off and it worked fine. Just don't run without a cool down if your tank is pretty full.

So where do you discharge your waste using one of these? Trying to understand the advantage of having one.

When camping without a sewer hookup, I use mine to pump up into my portable tank in the bed of the truck. Although the portable tank is towable you have to go so slow and the dump station is usually so far away that this solution is a lot faster and less disaster-prone (I've had the wheels fall off a towed tank that then wore through when it dragged on the road).

I use the waste pump and hose to dump into the clean out pipe on my septic system. Much better than having to drive to and pay for a
dump station. I can use it at home and at my vacation cottage.

Makes sense. Luckily I have plumbed in a sewer dump.
