Ford Warranty Work

Can anyone recommend a shop in Texas that will do warranty work on my Ford A/C. Several Ford dealerships that I have contacted will not work on RV's and they can't recommend anyone who will. A/C loses coolant over time and has never really cooled well. Not a huge deal as well typically run the generator and front A/C anyway.

I would contact Fords customer service division and ask them for the nearest to you RV ford service center.
That's where I would start.... The # can probably be found with a quick google search or in the back of an owners manual-info packet.

I have mine done here at the local ford dealer and the problem was the Schrader valve was leaking and they completed under warranty. I was glad that it was not the compressor. If you look under the engine and locate the compressor and see if there is oil around it if there is could be blown and need to be replaced.

Look for a Ford truck dealer. One here in Tampa does warranty work on any Ford truck chassis. A truck dealer has service bays thatcan handle heavy vehicles.

I looked up "2013 Ford f53 motorhome chassis" on the Internet. The website had a search engine for authorized ford dealers then started calling them, the closest first, until I found one that works on motorhomes. One was only 30 miles away. I called and set up an appointment to have my A/C looked at.

I had my compressor replaced. I run the air conditioner everytime I run the generator when parked at home. That will keep the seals from drying up.

There are no seals in a A/C that can dry out. There is way too much pressure generated for a flexible seal.

OK,

Thanks for that educational moment. All I can say is there was a huge puddle of compressor oil on my driveway. It didn't magically evacuate itself from the compressor.

The Ford dealer recommended running the air periodically in between usage.

The Ford RV Care number is
18004443311. They hooked me up with Blue Bonnet Motors in New Braunfels, Tx. The service guy there says they are geared up to work on motorhomes. I will go see them next week.
