Yes there is an internal check in water pump assembly. Here is link on how to possibly stop leakage.

I also have a 2012 378TS and had the fresh water tank slowly fill up overnight.
I think the problem is that when hooked p to campground water and not using a regulator and you turn on the electric pump for a moment which has lower pressure. This action will push open the valve at the pump and push water backwards from the city side thru the non running pump valve and feeds back into the tank.

This happened 3 times and I decide to fix it once and for all.

I purchased this check valve and installed inline on the output line of the pump.
Just cut the 1/2" PEX line and it has self locking fittings.
I did this in 2016 and no leaks of tank fill ups since.
I think it costs about $6
You want to install it so the arrow is pointing up for the direction water should flow from the pump into the rig.

Any questions ask away.

You do not have a valve between the tank and pump.
That is your winterizing valve.

No not really.
Do this test first.

1. Disconnect water line from the campground.
2. Go inside and open the hot and cold water lines at the sink to remove any water pressure. You do not want water pump on while doing this.

After you have done this go out and turn on the campground water again.

Watch and see if your water tank level rises.
If it doesn't then yes the pumps back flow valve is stuck open with something and your tank will continue to fill up.

If the tank is not filling then you have reset the valve in the pump.

I have found that if you have city water hooked up and turn on your pump is when this valve gets stuck open.

Hope you are able to follow my steps.

What manvel does is the action I took till I was able to repair my pump awhile back. The backflow is trapped in the winterization tube which has a cap/plug on it. I didn't need the tank water on my trip so not an issue and I didn't have to continuously monitor the tank. This step was taken because the procedure Iggy mentioned failed to fix the backflow issue that time.
