Front license plate

So, after nearly three months, the California DMV in their infinite wisdom decided to send my license plates for our 378. To my "horror" there is no mount for the front plate. What are you folks doing for a mount? I would prefer not to run one, but the peoples republic of California deem it mandatory...

A month ago I broke down and finally installed the front license plate. I used a Chevrolet Equinox front license plate mount. Worked perfectly without modification. Someone on this site had suggested it, however I cannot remember who.

Did you buy the RV in another state?

That could be why there is not a plate holder on the front.

Stick the plate in the front window on the dashboard!

I don't know if it's legal...but I zip-tied front plate to the lower grill mesh...fit perfectly and easy to do! Give it a try before mounting anything?

Don't think it is a good idea to block the passage way for air flow to the radiator and tranny cooler...

Most especially out here in the hot western US of A!

I sure wouldn't do it!

that grill space is purely cosmetic...the grill above it does all the air supply.

I put an old plate behind the grill and thru bolted the 2 together. No cooling problems in 6 years and 32 states.

I've had my GT 360XL since 2012. No front plate. It rides in the storage area above the passenger side.

And I've had 3 Vettes since 2005, never had a front plate in any of them.
I got a "fixit" ticket once, in 2006.

I Installed a front plate, got it signed off, went home and removed it.

Some states it is illegal to place the front plate in the window as it is extremely dangerous in a crash. A trooper here told me he would write a ticket faster for a tag being in a window than no front tag at all.

Ya it depends on the troopers...... I drove a Mustang for 10 years with no front tag or mount with no issues, but the first time my son drove the same car in the same area he got a ticket for no front plate, and no other tickets than that.
