Georgetown 378 Slide goes out in cold weather

I have a 2013 Georgetown 378 XL and had some issues in the past with the slides not retracting. We took the coach into our Dealer and they had repaired the issue. Most recently, with our cold Illinois weather, the large driver side slide comes out about 2 to 3" while in storage. I have tried to brace the slide from the interior, but still creeps out. Could this be a faulty hydraulic valve or expansion due to cold weather??
Thank in advance for any advice you can offer.

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. Normally expansion doesn't happen with a drop in temperature. There might be a valve leading thru and pressure remaining on the system after shut down. If you put power to the coach without changing any controls does the slide retract or stay the same?

Georgetown Slide

SeaDog:

Thank you for the info and the slide does not come back in when I start the RV. The dealer did replace some valves in the past and I think they may have a faulty valve for that slide. Back to the dealer.

Cannot operate any hydraulic slides with ignition on (ignition slide cutout interlock). My bedroom slide does sometimes creep out about an inch or so when stored. Just hit the in switch and good to go. It has not caused an issue on any trips since new (2012 Georgetown 378).

slide creep

I live in Iowa and have noticed at the RV storage lot that some of the older trailers and 5w's have slides that have crept out as much as maybe 5 in. Not sure why. I have a 2 yr old trailer and the slide does not do this. Could this be due to "shrinkage" from the bitterly cold winter we've had? Sorry I don't have an answer for your question, just my observation.

I had that problem on my 5th wheel. It was caused by a leaking actuator valve. Had it replaced at Camping World.
