Georgetown Passenger Seat Location

I have a class A Georgetown. The passenger seat is the same as the driver's seat except it is up against the wall, under the window. Can it be moved away from the wall safely?

First thought
If the seat was centered in the available space, would there be room to swivel without hitting something?

2nd
If there is room to swivel then the baseplate that attaches to the floor could possibly be extended to match the anchor bolts in the floor.

3rd
The swivel manufacturer and your insurance company would be VERY unhappy with you in case of an accident….

SO, almost anything can be done; but I don’t recommend it in this case unless it is an engineered and tested device from a known supplier

Does your factory provided passenger seat have folding armrests on both sides?
If yes, it’s positioned appropriately.
Is your concern that your passenger cannot swivel the seat?
Have you tried both seats?

On my past 2010 Georgetown 330TS, the driver seat was virtually impossible to swivel 180 degrees completely around because of the steering wheel. It was an incredible fight to do it, but the back of the seat was so upright, I didn’t bother. I’d just turn it 90 degrees and live with it when/if necessary.

The passenger seat was able to swivel 180 degrees, but you needed to put the back up straight, and at the same time, slide the seat on its track to make it actually work.

Same as on my 335DS. Georgetown did that to make more room between the seats. They couldn't move the driver's seat since it must be directly behind the steering wheel.

Both seats can be easily swiveled if you put them upright before trying.

My 2012 GT378 passenger seat arm rest is 1 inch from the side wall. It is the original seat.

Yeah…..they both can be swiveled, but NOT ALL of them can turn 180 degrees, but they can report they swivel….just a matter of how much.
Also…..over the years, a number of Georgetown owners reported that their driver’s seat WAS NOT directly in line with the steering wheel.

Thanks to everyone, I tried y'all's suggestions and I found if I put the seat backs up and forward I was able to turn the drivers seat around. The passenger seat had to be pulled forward to turn it.

I swivelled mine about 5years ago. Can't remember how I did it so haven't tried again!!! I am now in the process of ripping the furniture and floor out to do an upgrade. Got tired of the flaky vinyl and carpet.
