Recently purchased a 2017 31L5 in Elkhart Indiana. Loved the dealer. We had a trade and received a great number. Manufacturer just down the road a bit. So far a few small things but nothing unusual. Put 1,400 on it the first week. Whew!

Access When slide out is in?

Just to piggyback on this thread...can you access the bathroom and bedroom when the slide out is in? It looks like the L-shaped sofa may block the aisle when it is closed. Are there any shelves or counter by sides of the bed to place a CPAP machine?

Yes. Bathroom and bed are both easily accessible with slides in. The L of the sofa slides in for storage so you have a clear walkway. There is a small shelf on the far side of the bed but not on the other side. We have 2 CPAP's so one used the shelf and the other the overhead storage area. Both sides could just put the CPAP's above. There are receptacle on both sides.

But our best price was at Camping World in Bossier City, LA for $98,000. That unit is still available as of today because the salesman emailed me about it. I think that's a good price but we will probably wait until fall before buying. You can see it online. We drove it and were impressed. We really like that floor plan. It's a nice coach. Good luck shopping.
That is the one I bought on March 25th. Well, really I put money down the week before and finalized paperwork and picked it up on the 25th.

This is our first motorhome. Looked around for 3 months before deciding on this one. Never drove one until the day I bought this one.

We paid $93,500. Was a perfect storm IMHO. We live two hours away from the dealer and had never been there before. Liked what we saw on their internet ad. Never called them, just went to see it on a Saturday. Weather that day was snow, sleet, rain, and over all cold. Was there 5 hours. Never saw another customer, just 5 other bored sales staff. Checked out many other coaches new and used and finally decided we wanted to buy this model. I think we shocked the salesman. I suspect they get many visits and calls before a sale.

They had just closed before we started to negotiate and the sales manager stayed around while we worked with the salesman. They made a few offers around what they told you and I made them the offer above and they said yes.

I hope you find the one you like and get a better deal them me.

Oh my goodness! Where is this dealer? The lowest we could get them to go was 98k! It would be worth the drive!

Paul Sherry RV, Pique, Ohio
Paul Sherry Full Service RV Dealer Located near Dayton, Columbus, and Lima Ohio
Our Salesman was Robin

The sale price on the unit was 99,500 so what they told you wasn't much lower. Maybe like I stated in the post we got darn lucky on a perfect storm - no other customers on a bad weather day and they wanted a sale.

Heck, they still through in full tank of gas, propane, and upgraded Gorilla hoses.

WE DID IT! We got the 2018 31L5, and we pick her up tomorrow! We'll spend the first night in her next door at their campground. We've already named her Marlee! So excited to join the RV world! Thanks for answering all the questions!

Thanks to all

Looking to go back to full timing and have been looking at the 2018 31L. We were Montana 5er campers and I'll be soloing. So appreciate all the comments here. Love the layout and thanks for info.
Wish me luck and I'll take any suggestions!

Congrats. Few little miner things with ours, but we love it. You might ask about a recall on the roof. It's where the roof and walls come together. Tech service bulletin 68-0488.
Enjoy the miles.

Very Good!!! Enjoy!!! We too are looking to upgrade from a 2016 335ds to the 2018 31L5 mostly because of the King bed and sofa sleeper that you can walk by. Our 335ds comes right to the wall, maybe 2 inches between them. Wish it was about 6 inches!!!
