Got the factory-installed sliding tray in the rear compartment? Check your bolts.

I have the sliding tray and love it. I was showing it to a friend and he asked how it's secured to the pass-through. So we looked and it uses four carriage bolts. Three of the bolts are not in the square hole. <sigh>

Excellent work Forest River. Real good attention to detail....not to mention the great quality control!

When you can't fit a square peg into a square hole....you have a problem.

Technically, I now have the problem but yeah, that is a great way of putting it.

Fortunately, the underside looks better although I have not yet corrected the problem. The carriage bolt goes through a square piece of frame.

This is on the driver side looking straight up and would be the rear attach bolt on that side. That's probably why it's rated for 500 pounds, equally dispersed, and feels rock-solid.

Bolts

Thanks for the pics.

I have just learned a new way for bolts to work.

If it don't fit, force it. Hammer down first, then tighten until it almost breaks.

Glad you found the bolts. If one broke, your things could have been dumped or your tray distorted.

Had you left the word "now" out of your first sentence, it would make ore sense.
