GT 330TS question

Our MH is at the dealer for warranty work right now, so I need someone who has access to their 330TS to answer this.

1. Our MH has an exhaust fan unit (but not a Fantastic Brand unit) in the bathroom. I believe there is a switch on the actual unit to work the fan on and off......not variable speed. Does anyone believe this unit is not capable of doing the job, and needs to be replaced with a Fantastic Brand?

2. In the kitchen area, there is JUST a roof vent, with no fan unit at all. Does anyone believe this should be replaced with a fan unit, and if you're going to go through the trouble, might as well be a Fantsatic Unit?

3. I believe all fan units are 12V? If that's the case, and you wanted to replace the kitchen roof vent with fan unit, is there a nearby 12V source to tap into for this installation?

Thanks

Don't have a 330TS but you would be much better off with the fantastic fans in each. We have them in the large bathroom and the kitchen. The smaller fan is ok for our powder room because it's a small room. As for the wiring for the fan in the kitchen. I believe they would have a harness already in place since fishing a wire later is just about impossible unless it's run in wire moulding.

Arky.......

Where did you get a 12V source for the Fantastic Fan installation?

The one in the bath was original equipment? Is it strong enough?

Ours came from factory with fan in kitchen. The regular fan in bathroom is ok, but would like to install fantastic fan instead.

We have a 2008 315DS and it came with a "cheap" fan in the bathroom and just the vent (no fan) in the kitchen/salon. The vent in the kitchen was prewired so we swapped them both out for Fantastic Fans. One of the best upgrades we did on the rig.

I have another question for you 330TS (and other) owners. In the bedroom, between the closets, there is a desk. On the right side are 3 male coax connectors labeled right, a/v and left. Logic would tell me that the middle one is for a DVD player, but mine does not have any coax connectors. Is that something new? Also, it doesn't explain the other two. Can anyone educate me?

jshields13, I have the conections you are talking about, but do not know what they are for. I am about to head out(as soon as the snow melts off the roads) and will see if I can find out what they do.

I'm going to take a stab and say the connections (and not seeing the exact design I may be wrong) are for feeding a VCR or DVD player to the bedroom televsion located above. Our 330TS model came with a 19" Jensen, and I've yet to investigate this theory of auxillary feed.

In the old days, you could connect a VCR to a TV using just coax for both video and audio. There was also another way of connecting them with audio/video cable.........usually a white, red and yellow cable. Can't remember which way they were coded, but, one would be for video, and the other two were your left and right audio feeds.

Do you have a bedroom TV? Are there any leads at the top in the vicinity of the TV around back?

Hi all. Mike Burns just replied to me about the coax connectors. They are for connecting VCR and/or DVDs. Stereo would use right and left and non would use the a/v connector. My DVD does not have a coax connector, but I would think that someone like Radio Shack would sell an adapter. Thanks for all your help.

I am very up to date when it invovles TV's. For the life of me! I cannot figure that one out! I have the same exact problem, you would figure each color would go with the same color, not so much! I have called Forest River, also took my coach back to where I purchased it, I have read the owners manual on the TV and DVD player! Not one of these avenues pointed me in the right direction. I can only assume something is disconnected in the wiring behind the TV! If you or anybody
has had issues like this one, please advise!
