GT5 Engine Issue

Anyone ever experience an issue of not being able to start your RV?
Our 2018 GT5 will not start or even turnover. You can't get it out of park and the entry steps will not work. The battery is fully charged and the dashboard shows a little wrench flashing claiming an issue with the electronic throttle control. Seems to be an electrical issue. Hopefully not a wiring harness issue. Contacted the dealer and not getting very much help from them even though it is under full manufacturer warranty. It only has 1160 miles on the motor.

Have you contacted a Ford dealer to see if they might be able to help since it won't even turn over?

Got a hook coming for it today. Ford corporate is helping with the issue, reluctantly. Dealer I purchased it from is worthless in helping. Open Roads whom I thought was better than that. They are no better than Camping World.

6 weeks later we finally get our RV back. It was towed to a Ford dealer 60 miles from our home for what we thought was warranty work. Ford said it took a lightning strike and fried the computer, pc modulator, battery and alternator. $3842.11 to fix. Thanks to our insurance company Cincinnati Insurance, not Good Sams, we only had to pay the$1000.00 deductible with very few questions asked. They settled the claim within 36 hours of it being reported. Now we have to go back to the Ford dealer because the engine light came on. Only issue with the coach was the step motor. Going to Open Roads RV for repair next week. The day we went to get it for a trip and it would not start the owner of the storage lot we park on was reprogramming his entry gate due to a lightning strike. We were parked about 500 feet away and the only one with any damage. Just our rotten luck.

WOW....what are the odds of that happening? At least your insurance stepped up. Long repair time for Ford. Hopefully your RV dealership will actually do something right now.
Good Luck

Ouch. I hope nothing else surfaces. That's a big wildcard.

Not to bring 'gloom & doom' but I would check all electrical systems in the coach & anything that was plugged into an outlet. Just test them & make sure they work before you go camping. You may just find a popped circuit breaker or nothing at all.

Best of luck.

Nothing was plugged in other than the tv's and appliances. All are working as well as all lights. No breakers tripped in the master electrical panel. Did not check all receptacles but I will. Could not find any issues with the coach. So far. Thanks.

That's good, you have had enough bad luck already.

Wow sorry to hear your back luck
I would invest in a surge protector for the MH.
They are much cheaper then your 1000.00 deductible

We use a surge protector when we travel. It was in a storage lot we use because our HOA does not allow us to store it in our driveway.
