Happy Camper (2012 378xl)

Well we just are getting back from Mt Rushmore and Yellowstone, drove the new coach over 3500 hundred miles this last 3 weeks. Towed a Saturn aura all 4 down averaged 8 MPG. No problems with the new coach everything worked great.

We did the Yellowstone trip in June and July this year. Loved it and will head back again.
Looks like its time for its first oil change. It is always better to get the original oil out and fresh in after initial breakin.

Check with your local Ford dealer and it costs between $95 and $105
5w20 Syth. Blend, lube the chassie and inspect everything.
Have them check the sway bars front and rear to insure all the bolts are tight. Many have found them loose or even lost bolts.

Enjoy

We are thinking about a similar trip next summer. How are the mountains on that route? Did you return by a different route?

We have never driven the MH out west and are a bit concerned about the steep grades...

Thanks! Takes a load off my mind. We want to hit 4 corners, Mesa Verde and some of the National Parks in Utah.

Armye7, your info doesn't state where you live, I made the run from SC June of this year and had a most excellent trip, I hope the wind had died down for you toward Yellowstone, I opened my door and a 30 mph gust took it out of my hand and almost broke it. I have 14,200 miles on my coach and have had a few problems, but knock on wood, everything is in great shape. I loved the hwy 16 from Mt. Rushmore to Yellowstone, great ride, even with construction. Safe travels.
