Help -Leveling Jacks -Stuck at Campground

Help. Please Help! On our maiden voyage with our brand new 2014 Georgetown 325tsf. When leveling the coach in automatic mode the rear jacks went down and brought coach to level. Front jacks never went down.

The jacks will not retract in either manual or automatic nor can I lower the front jacks. Control panel does light up and says all jacks down. Front jacks still up.

Now we're stuck at the campground since we can't release the jacks. Thinking of trying the manual override. Anyone ever do that? Need to pick up some Allen wrenches.

Please help.

Make sure the parking brake is on the engine started before trying to retract the jacks

Give Equalizer a call. They should be able to help you get the jacks retracted.

Thanks. Parking brake is on. I'm thinking of doing the emergency override at the pump. Curious if any has done this & what should I expect.

When I start turning the pump do they go up or down quickly and how easy does the pump turn.

Sorry, I guess your coach has a different leveling system than mine. I have an Equalizer system.

type in the search on leveling jacks there are several different ones that come up, different model types etc. hopefully this leads you down a path to success.

Got it. Called my dealer and spoke with the Tech that did our walk through. There's a 120 amp circuit breaker near the battery. It tripped.

If you're on a grade that could to much draw & it could cause it to trip.

Can't say enough about my dealer. Great guys!

Thanks

Stuck Jacks

My Georgetown has Lippert Jacks, and when I release the parking brake they all retract automatically. I have never had them stuck down, so I don't know if it would work for that. Glad you found the problem.

If the breaker is tripped, nothing works but resetting the breaker.

jacks

Thanks for sharing with the rest of us, useful info, also when you get into spot emergency brake on eng running if you look at your lights the only arrow lit is the side that needs leveling so if your rear arrow is lit just put in manual and push that button until it goes out and it will be level. When you use auto it tork's the heck out of the coach.

jacks

Being on a grade that will cause the jacks to overextend may cause the breaker to trip due to overloading. I use to use the auto mode but I found it exersizes all the jacks even though they are not needed for your camp spot. The next time you use it take notice it will raise the front then lower then the side then lower etc. There is no need to over work em.

Ya the auto setting always raises the jacks higher than needed. And that exacerbates the "popping" sounds. I prefer to level manually. Find the lowest corner or side and lower those jacks first. Then lower the other jacks just enough to stabilize which often means very little. I also carry blocking which usually means the jacks only lower a few inches. No popping.

I've never used the jacks in manual, it's it fairly straight forward? The little center light comes on when your all level?

Light only comes on in Auto mode. If you are using manual, you have to place a level someplace on your floor or counter. If you over do it, you can't retract a little. You have to retract all the way and start over. I use Auto all the time. Never had an issue.

Place a level in your fridge freezer, when your fridge is level, your rv is and your fridge will run colder.
