Hot Water Heater Switch

Has anybody moved the switch for the electric portion of the hot water heater to a more convienient place? Our previous 5th wheel had it in the galley. With the Georgetown we have to go outside, remove the heater cover and dig for the switch. If someone has done the switch move, how did you do it?

P.S. I'm really not electrically challanged.....

Another, easy option is to have the switch under the outside cover in the 'on' position and power the water heater 'off' and 'on' with the breaker inside the power control panel. It's on it's own breaker.
