I recently read in a Motorhome mag that Newer RV's had the House Batteries linked to the Chassis Battery providing a certain amount of support if you are either dry camping for some time or in storage. We have a 2015 GT310DS and I have seen no sign of this. Has anyone looked into this?

Well, that all depends on what linked means. Most have a boost start switch that will bring on the house battery bank to help start the engine. All have the engine alternator charge the house bank and virtually all have the house converter charge the chassis battery when connected to shore power or on generator..
This has all been there for quite a number of years at FR and other manufacturers.
When you are running the engine both battery systems are being charged off the engine alternator.
If your engine battery is dead and can't start the engine you should have a switch on the dash that momentarily hooks up the coach batteries to the engine battery so you can start the engine.
That is the only two ways I know how they are hooked up together
Thanks for the replies. We do some dry camping and I use the radio a lot and it can be stored for up to two months. It does have solar panels on the roof so the 4 house batteries are ok but am concerned for the chassis battery. Hence I have run a line from the positive chassis battery pole to a positive house battery pole but do have a management device inserted in between. At most there could be a 2 amp flow from house to chassis battery.
