Hydraulic fitting leak bed slide 342DS

I have noticed a small leak at the fitting of the hydraulic hose to the the cylinder under the bedroom slideout. Tightening doesn't do much. It seems the threads may be crossed.
Does any one have any experience that is similar. Can the fitting at the cylinder be changed? Also the replacement of the entire hose from the reservoir to the cylinder looks like an almost impossible job as the hose is buried under the floor. Are the hoses standard and can they be made up at a store dealing in hydraulic parts. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You're most probably right about it being cross threaded. You should be able to change the fitting on the cylinder and they should be standard hydraulic fittings. You'll have to take it with you so the hydraulic place can match it.

Some hydraulic places have portable swagers and can replace a hose end in-place. You can call them and ask. You might be able to take the RV by there and get it replaced rather than try to remove the hose.

I agree with Bama Rambler. If you remove the hose from the fitting and check each piece you should be able to see which piece is damaged from the cross-threading. From there you'll either be able to replace the fitting or have a hose remade. Good luck, let us know what you find out.
