Interesting Info From Recall Notice

We have a recall on our 2021 Georgetown GT7. When reading through it, you can see how many of each model in 2020 they built. There are 20 of our model. Just thought this was interesting. The recall is for the drop down bunk.

It may just be a certain run was identified as having the issue, as it lists a roughly 1 month production window on the recall.

Gotcha. So that's the number sold during that one month. We had to send this to the dealer as they said they couldn't find a recall notice. It was mailed to us from FR.

Yup, when MORryde failed to properly the hitch attach bolts the recall covered three or four months of production for each affected model. I noticed the same thing; you can get an idea of how well a particular model is selling.

You can set a bookmark here and also sign up for alerts directly from the NHTSA: https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2021/F...GETOWN#recalls

Click the + and click on Associated Documents

While RV manufacturers don't do it, the car manufacturers must send the NHTSA copies of their technical service bulletins and the NHTSA publishes them. I keep bookmarks to Manufacturer Communications for each of our cars to see if the manufacturer has released a bulletin that could affect our vehicles. For example: https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2020/C...Communications
