We have a 2012 Forest River-Georgetown. We've had problems with all our furniture since it was less than a year old with cracking and peeling. The furniture is very poor quality. I have talked with Jeff Hood and he is sending covers for the furniture with free shipping. However, we have to have the furniture removed and install the covers at our expense. This is NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Has anyone thought about a Class Action Lawsuit? We should not have to pay for the covers to be replaced.

Why is everyone so sue happy. He's making an effort to make it right but because there's a little work on your end you want to sue? This country is going to hell

True, but in this case I see his point. Forest River is well aware the upholstery material is an inferior product. Instead of changing the material, even if we had to pay a little more for something we've already sunken a fortune into they just keep putting them out with the same material. As far as customer service goes, on an already six-year-old unit, I think they did a pretty good job by sending him new covers.

Agree with last two posts. I just received my replacement covers this week. Personally I am going to wait until the stuff starts to peel bad enough that I can't stand it, then I get another 4-6 years out of them. Seriously don't think I will have the same furniture in another 5-7 years as all furniture breaks down. If you don't want to pay for replacement then maybe consider buying a Newmar or American Coach next time. People have to stop thinking of the total price of the coach and instead equate it to price differentials in cars. A chevy impala is never going to hold up to a Mercedes AMG in build quality and post purchase service/recalls.

We've have the same issue with a 2008 Georgetown Forest river. Cheaply made products. I'm checking with an interior shop to recover it at our expense. Good luck

Most commercial products are an assemblage of individual components delivering certain design objectives. Each part is made in a commercial environment where it is governeduy by the need to be produced economically. Hence no part can be 100% reliable. If it need
to be it would be prohibitively expensive! Each part can't be inspected also in a commercial environment. The probability for a part to fail much before its intended life is more during its earlier life cycle than later. Keeping this in mind, the manufacturers offer to take the risk of replacing/repairing a sub normal part under Warranty! later on the wear and tear take over the failure of the part. There could be a grey area where a part has functioned more than what can be termed as premature failure but lower than what an average life cycle could be. In such cases the manufacturers absorb the cost of failure under GOOD WILL warranty also.

Had the same issue on our 08 GT. Had the couch ottomans and chairs reupholstered with a nice fabric and color. Can't stand the crappy "pleather" used as original equipment.

Just received new seat covers from FR to replace the failing pleather on my 2012 model 360. Take pics and contact FR. Installation is at your own cost.
