Inverter Location

Hi,
We have a 2015 Georgetown XL 360. Our inverter is not working. The inverter light will not come on and the refrigerator does not run when we are not on shore power.

We blew the fuse for our slides and blew the breaker for our leveling system the other day and I think this happened at the same time. I can locate the converter and the automatic transfer switch but does anyone know where the inverter is?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Swamprat, I'm confused. In that same compartment there in a converter and a switch box. I was under the impression there is also an inverter aboard. Is it the same thing?

You are referring to the converter. On my coach it too is located in the rear power bay on the driver's side. The reefer's inverter is not located there. You will find in very near the reefer, perhaps in the bay below the reefer or in some cabinetry below or adjacent to the reefer. Usually they are located much closer to the batteries, which on my coach are a full 23 feet forward of the converter.

If the green light won't come on that means that you probably blew the fuse to the inverter as well.

A previous poster looking for the inverter on a 360 wrote this "FOUND IT, with help of the service department. It is located on driver side above the propane tank there is a plastic screw cape that you take out and can access the ground fault. To get full access must remove screws and take out panel. Lots of more usable space in that area."

Makes 12 volts DC from 110 volts AC. It runs all of your 12 volt stuff (lights, radio, pumps, etc) when you are connected to shore power. It also charges your coach and chassis battery when connected to shore power or when running the generator.

Thank so much for this information. I found the inverter exactly where the previous poster found his. There is a panel above the propane tank that I removed to get better access to the inverter. Unfortunately there is no power going to it so I now have to figure out what is causing that. I don't know if it's a breaker or fuse or exactly what the problem is.

If anyone knows the secret, please don't hesitate to enlighten me.
Thanks again!

You will find a really, really big fuse or breaker in the power lines from the inverter to the batteries. Probably resettable breakers on the frame if you follow the cables to the batteries.

On my inverter, which is in the same location, there is a GFCI button that pops out and you can push back in to re-set.

Thanks Vankeel but I'm not getting any power to my inverter at all. The GFCI may be needed after I figure out why I'm not getting power.

Look near your batteries. there should be a breaker that looks similar to this

that connects to the 12v wire that goes back to the inverter. It may have tripped.

You will probably have two of them under there.

Thanks for posting this. I actually did find these when we had the original problem last week. One is for the leveling system which wasn't working at the time either. The other was not tripped but I reset them both anyway.
My photo from the original post. Breakers are in the white circle on the left.

This morning after reading your post I took the cover off the stairs and reset them again. Voilà! That did the trick. Thanks for prompting me to try it again!

Inverter Location

I knew one did the jacks, I've already had that problem. Did not know the other was for the inverter. Thanks for the info, I'll file it away for further use.
