Is there a factory Water filter on a 2014 360DS
I have a new to me 2014 360 DS. It looks like some sort of filter was inline at some point was wondering if anyone knew the manufacture and model number or at least had a photo of it
Thanks in advance!

Are you talking about anything that remotely looks like this? It should be inside
one of you outside compartments. Some people have been known to remove the actual filter, put in a bypass plate, and install an inline filter outside of the motorhome instead.

Ken,
That is exactly what I am missing. The bracket is there with 4 screws still sitting in it.
Do you have any information about the manufacture of the filter or the model number
Thanks in advance for your assistance

If I’m hearing you right.......
Your rig has the white unit above the glass/plastic container for the filter, but not the container or the filter inside?
If so....your unit is much newer than mine, and I have a completely different make and model. Hopefully another member with a closer model year unit will chime in to provide the part numbers.

If you’re getting water through all your taps throughout the motorhome, the previous owner may have bypassed the OEM filter and uses the inline filter and hose that you can buy at RV dealers, Walmart or online from Amazon etc.
Just hook up the filter between the tap and your rig.

Here's a link to a pic of a 2014 335DS. It looks like if someone bypassed the filter, you could probably find one online to replace it or at an RV store. I doubt the OEM would be that different as they are simple inline cartridge filters. I think they are under $50.00 I know even Camco sells one called the EVO.

I just have the mounting bracket which looks like it would fit the unit you have.
I don't know if someone took it out when they winterized the unit and never put it back.
I am 90% sure the model you have would fit in the exact same spot someone bypassed mine

It's nice to have a built in filter. My two previous TT's had them as does my current MH. You don't need to install a filter in the housing. You can run without it. I personally use in inline at the faucet and then the one in the housing. Remember if you use the water in the fresh water tank the pump filters it through the filter and throughout the RV.

That looks like a KW1 water filter from WaterPur. Here's the link to their page. You may have to call them for a complete replacement:

This is what I do too. The inline filter works somewhat differently than the built in.

They are correct I believe! I have the same K1 filter in my 2017 364TS
I took mine out and forgot to get new cartridge but was fine for 3-5 days because we drink bottle water and brushing our teeth! But you should have some type of filter there are a lot of ways to get sick if you don’t ! Water is like a box of chocolates! You never know what you’ll get!

If it was an FR1/KW1 filter, I'm guessing the previous owner removed it. Many, many threads here of KW1's cracking and flooding rigs (MHs, 5vers, TTs). Many of us have removed it and gone to an outside filter.
It looks like this:
And this is what happens:

FWIW:
I replaced my KW1 with a GE GXWH20S filter from Home Depot. I like the fact that it has a built in bypass valve. I was surprised that it also included a 90 day battery operated timer that can fit on the top of the filter or it can easily attached to any magnetic surface.
The cost of the GE water filter assembly was about the same cost as a single replacement filter for the KW1. The KW1 filter is proprietary and very expensive. I wouldn’t mind paying a small premium for “their” filter but the pricing is ridiculous.
There is a large selection of inexpensive filters for the GE.

Funny people remove the whole thing and bypass it instead of just removing the filter does the same thing.
Beats me?
If yours is bypass already I would also suggest an inline blue filter like suggested above.

Just because you remove the filter doesn't mean the housing won't crack.

I originally removed mine because the housing cracked while on a camping trip, and I could not find a new one over the Christmas holidays, but the blue plumbing tubes were plentiful at Lowes . I always used the inline one also, so I was never in a hurry to put it back in.

True but I think that their proprietary design is responsible for most of the blowouts. It the filter isn’t seated properly on the top and bottom of the canister when tightened it will put a tremendous amount of stress on the clear plastic canister.

So why take the chance? A flooded rig can be very expensive.

With a filter installed in a location like in the picture I can't imagine why anyone would want to replace it with an inline filter in the hose. That looks like one easy to service filter and best of all, it probably filters water from the tank as well.
Oh well.
