Key We Can't Figure Out

We've had our "Wanda" almost a year now and can't seem to find where this key goes. Google says it's a compartment key, but we have an oval Bauer key for them. Any thoughts?Click image for larger version

It's clearly a RV key of some sort. Are you the first owner of the unit? If you haven't found a compartment or door that it works on it might have gone to something else the previous owner had.

It is certainly an RV storage, cabinet, or door Key.

If it doesn't fit any of the above I'd pitch it in your RV junk drawer until you find a lock you can't open/close. LOL

Seems to be for a baggage door.

Forest River, for whatever reason, likes to give new motorhome owners the keys to other models. That looks like a GT5 basement compartment key.

Mystery key

I also have a mystery key that came with my 2022 Georgetown GT7 36K7. I gave up and tossed it in the “junk drawer”.

Would it lock your antenna?
If you throw it out, you'll find out what it's for

I was thinking the G391 key was a common baggage key like the notorious CH751.

Found this explanation - https://www.rvlocksandmore.com/lockskeys/g391-series. It sounds like it might be more than a common baggage key.

Good luck and be safe -

Do you have an outside TV or perhaps a city water fill on the side of the coach someplace?on the coach we have it has a locked access port to fill the water tank on the opposite side of the wet bay. Tiffin and others put a lock on it so no one can put anything into you fresh water tank.

Just checked my keys, and that one is to my compartments. Got a 2022 Encore, although I have a key that I can't figure out what it goes to, and I have looked for anything that has a lock, even asked the dealer what it goes to and they just shrug their shoulders.

keys

I agree with others. Toss it into your trailer junk drawer and leave it there until you find something you can't lock or unlock.

Pretty sorry state, IMO, when dealers don't know what product they sell or what keys go to when the hand them over to you. You wonder what they do for prechecks/PDIs they do on RVs they sell. Even used ones.

I'm sure dealers just transfer what came with the vehicle. They do not want to be put in the position of there being some obscure key missing and the manufacturer saying "Our records show we sent it with the vehicle to the dealer." Then the owner gets all irate with the dealer.

Our dealer just uses their master key set on customer RV's. They even told us to only leave the engine key because they had all of the rest. Then I locked the deadbolt and it turned out they do not have a master key to the Bauer deadbolt.

I cannot tell you how many times I've read a plea for help from a new motorhome owner who was sitting at the gas pump for the first time and suddenly realized they had no key to the gas filler door. It works both ways.

The mystery key you have is for exterior bag doors on GT5's. I'm not sure why we keep sending them with the GT7's? Sorry about the confusion! Hope this helps. Safe travels
