L shape couch. repair or replace?

2016 Forest River Georgetown 377XL. We have an L shaped couch that is peeling everywhere. To get it fixed, we're being told $2K-$3K. We even have all the new material from Forest River but it's still going to cost that amount we're being told.

I'm thinking it might be cheaper just to buy another one.

Anyone else have this issue? Did you fix or buy another?

Cheap fake leather is B.S.

thx

We have a 2013 Georgetown 335DS and have the same problem with our L couch and both captain chairs too... We have chosen to have them all recovered but NOT with Forestriver cheap knock off vinal krap.. We are having ours recovered here by a local auto upholstery shop with quality material.. Good luck with your unit and getting them recovered. The problem is industry wide and most all Forestriver units.. ..

We have a 2014 377XL, replaced our L shape couch with 2 recliners with a center console from RecPro. They were easy to install and look great, comfortable and it’s amazing how much room we have.

RecPro all the way. I’ve done the couch, the recliner, the captains chairs and now the Dinette seating. Much improved comfort, storage (under the dinette seating) etc

L-shape couch replaced

We replaced our L-shape couch with euro style recliners. Couch was not comfortable to sit or sleep. 2016 Georgetown 335DS.

Yes, we pull the chairs out from the wall some and and recline comfortably. Push them up against wall and put the ottoman up into chair while going down the road.

We have a 2012 378 which had the sofa bed from hell. Not only did it start to peel , it was like sitting on a concrete block. We took it out and replaced it with a similar size couch from a furniture store.
Captain's chairs are peeling too. We're likely going to look for good quality covers for the time being.
