LoadLifter 5000 installed on my new GT5 34H5

Folks,

Yesterday I had LoadLifter 5000 installed on my RV on 4 weels with a compressor wireless driven.

The provider who have make the installation told me that no wonder the support blades and suspension coils at the back originally installed were at limit as a weigth point of view with a charge of 24,000 pounds the LoadLifter need 100 pounds of pressure to bring a reasonnable suspension gap.

The ride is now very smooth and we also have a Safe T Plus Steering Control / RV & Truck Steering Stabilizer installed. it's simply Wow...

What a big change on the road, the roads in Quebec a not like the one in USA, so a good investment, for quiet rides.

I have a question about tire pressure, the specs beside driver seat says 90 pounds at cold for each tire, the LoadLifter provider told me this is over pressure and recommend to lower them at 80 at front and 82 at the back, once again it make a difference on rides, regardless if that may affect the tire lifetime.

What tire pressure are you recommending ?

Thanks in advance for your reply....

Did the LoadLifter provider ask you for your actual as-weighed fully-loaded weight on each axle? If not, that person is dangerous.

The tires must be inflated to the proper pressure for your actual weights. If the tires are 20% below where they should be they are considered flat and are susceptible to internal damage.

The placard is the minimum pressure required to support the GAWR of that axle. I know my 2020 34H5 runs very close to the GVWR of 22,000 fully loaded up so I use 90 on all on mine. Actually, I run 98 on mine to provide some margin.

Ray,

Thank you for that great information, I guess the next step will be to stop by a weight balance to have the real weight, but I am now loaded and probably close the 22,000,

Is your ride are smooth at 98 ?

Mine at 90 even with the liftLoader ride are still rough but better than before...

I will make the check and let you know,

Once again thank good for the insight,

Norm,

We installed four Koni FSD shocks with 800 miles on the odometer and got a dramatically smoother ride. Previously the motorhome felt and sounded like it was coming apart on rough roads, especially bridge joints. Not any more.

But...you have the newer V8 chassis while we have the older V10 chassis.

If possible, weigh it with full fuel, full fresh water, empty gray and empty black tanks, and the normal complement of people. If you tow, weigh with the toad attached.

That will be your worst case so it will only get better from there.
