Looking at a 2010 373DS

I made the mistake of stopping in at a dealer to look at some Class A diesels.
The boss thinks a Class A will work better than our current fiver.
After looking at diesels I like, the prices were way too high, $300,000!!
The salesman suggested we look at some new Georgetowns.
I was impressed. I liked the 373DS the best. King bed and a little more counter space than other Class A's I've looked at.
Anyone here have a 373? What do you think of it? What options do you suggest? This one had the Ford V-10, is that powerful enough?

Oh no, you made the mistake of looking. Thats what happened to us. Had a nice fiver, but went to the RV show and next thing you know parked in the driveway is a 2010 Georgetown 330TS. We also looked at diesel pushers, but way to much money, even for a used one. So we found this 330TS and we decided we could make a few changes and make it what we want. What we liked about the Georgetown was it had everything installed from the factory that we want. Now we are getting it ready for first trip this weekend. Good luck on your search.

My person choice of important to me options: Fantastic Fan in Kitchen area and Bathroom, Dual Pane windows, AC unit for Bedroom, Heated remote mirrors and side cameras (wish we had them). Most of these were included when we bought ours in the XL package. I wish the Euro-Recliner was available at that time. The Barrel chair is stationary, other than turning side to side.

I have a 2008 373DS and love it dearly, best purchased made since slice bread! Mine came with all the options except for the dual pane windows. Also if you plan to winter camp make sure you get these windows. The Arctic package work great, this last winter camped in 17 degree weather and never had a problem. The only problem I had with the unit that was horrible was the DVD Concertone player which is a piece of junk. I replaced that unit with a Phillips player from Wally-World and never looked back. I love the 3 zone living as I had my huge family go camping with me and it was a total of 12 of us. 6 slept in the RV and the others stayed in the campground cabins (no they all did not travel in my unit due to weight restrictions). Due to the 3 zone living arrangements folks eating and wanting to watch other shows or movies the 3 zone is the only way to go. It is so nice to be able to be in the living room and watch tv and someone else is in the dining room watching something totally different and if someone else is in the bedroom they could be watching something totally different due to having two direct tv cable boxes. The options I have added: CB, Tire pressure pro (Saved me twice with two blowouts), Air Compressor 150PSI to pump up the 22.5 tires, In motion sat, 1800w inverter by Xantrex and I know there's more to buy for sure. Anyway, I am more than pleased with the 373 3-Zone living. I have the two chairs instead of two couches and would not trade this set up for nothing. I purchased new in Sept 2008 and have put just a little over 13000 miles of pure pleasure on big Bertha.

I've heard that mpg is around 5, we have a 2941ds forester c and we get 10 mpg, we looked at a georgetown at the boston show, and fell in love! not yet, but if my numbers come in ......

GAS - Wow! Here is my 0.2 cents on gas......For me personnally and not speaking for anyone else. I have chosen an expensive gas guzzling hobby and willing to pay for gas for the pure pleasure of de-stressing and enjoying my family. I am a weekend RVing warrior (my calendar is fully booked with camping all the way to Thanksgiving week) and will budget accordingly to meet the demands of the high gas prices. I am in Maryland and when I drive down South I tend to average around 8 mpg and when I head North (mountains or some says we have hills on the East coast) I just make sure to budget in a little more gas money as the mountains make my big Bertha very hungry and she drinks about 5 mpg and a little more with genny running and towing.

Just came back from Charleston and Myrtle Beach SC. I love my rig. The 3 zone living is great as we traveled with my 2 grandchildren. Some minor warranty issues, but nothing that can't be fixed or would not be expected with any manufacturer. Ride was great and this is a huge improvement from my C.

I have been looking at this paticular model, I had been looking at Diesels but like some others I have not been blessed with lots of money and Super Excellent credit. I was wondering how, being as yours was brand new to you it has been holding up for the last 4 years. Have you had any issues with it? Leaking water anywhere, wandering, engine troubles, anything like that. I would appreciate any input that you have about yours. I also like the floorplan for the 373DS. I like the idea of the living room, kitchen, dining room and bedroom set up seperatley, not like most you will find where it is all placed together or scattered everywhich way. Thank you in advance for anything you can share.

Have a 2007 373 bought used in 2010. Only real issue's was with the hydraulics when I first got it. Think it was a low fluid level/voltage issue and has not returned. And the insulation blocking air flow in the upper ref vent. MPG varies from 6 - 8 depending on terrain and if you are towing. I tow a Colorado @ 3900 lbs so I am close to towing cap and comb weight. The v-10 likes to rev, Its power is in the 3200 to 3700 range. Takes a bit of getting use to after having a GM big block but will do the job out east where I am. Mine does not have the thermo pane and cooling is an issuewhen it gets above 90 outside. If I could I would opt for a 15000 front unit. The bedroom does fine with the 13,500. Storage is a bit tight in mine but I think in the latter years they added a couple more cabinets up front. At 38' its a good size rig so take its size into consideration on how you plan to use it. We thought the dining room would be nice but it seems we eat on the couches as much as the table and if you are traveling it cannot really be used with the slide in if you pull into an overlook for lunch. Love the King size full length bed ours has, does make getting arond the bedroom tight. Shower is great, head a little funny with the way the door is on an angle, suggest you have a seat and see if you like it. Bathroom storage is a little limited in ours do not know if they have made any changes there. No handling add-ons, a bit of work when towing due to size wt of my toad. Great by itself

After months of research and visiting many dealerships I recently purchased a 337 and love it. We looked at the unit early in our research, and it became the benchmark of every other RV we looked at. The super slide, King bed, electric blind and awning, sold us. The engineers really did their homework on this one. At a price well below comparable models
