Main Air Conditioner

We have two air conditioners. One in the bedroom which works fine and one in the main room. That one does not work well. It runs but will not shut off when it reaches the programed temperature. Is it the thermostat or something else.

When you say "will not shut off" are you talking the fan or the compressor?
What kind of A/C units do you have (make/model) and what thermostat(s) do you have (make/model) and what is the fan control set to?

Check the thermostat and make sure the fan is to Auto and NOT High or Low Speed.

We are in the process of looking for one. We do not need the whole kit just the face of the thermostat.

Do you mind telling us which thermostat it is?

Also if you find just the face plate would you let us know where you found it. It may help someone in the future.

Hi

We found the thermostat (face) at Tweety's.com. It is a RV and Truck Accessory site. It cost $52.00 with shipping. The thermostat was a Dometic one unit with fan, air, heat and heat strip. Dometic (the company)was no help. Got on live chat with them and gave them the numbers they said they had no such thing. Punched the number in Tweety's and it came right up. Hope this will help someone else.
