Main slide Failed

First major problem just 9 days before warranty runs out. Went to put slid out, there was a loud pop and it stopped. Would not move. Checked barkers and all around with flash light inside. Nothing!! Went outside and saw cables hanging down. Push the in button and it came in. Very lucky. Monday we were heading for California.
It will go to dealer on Monday. Happy it happened before we left.

7100 miles on coach and first major problem in 11 months. Not bad for new coach.

that was a lucky thing it happened before hitting the road or the warranty running out, let the forum know what they find and correct.

Mine did that a while back. What had happened is where the cables are clamped together, they pass each other. If they twist just right they bind up and catch as they pass. Loud pop then nothing. I was able to fix this problem by sitting in a home depot parking lot and improvising new clamps then I black tapped everything to a point so they glide past with no catching.

Thank you for the information. Mine is still under warranty so of course I took it back to the dealer. I was fortunate I wasn't on the road.

Got motor home back today. Main slide new cable. Both slides adjusted. Both slides operate smother than they ever had. The deal said that they could not determine what caused the problem. I believe it was when the wooden block got stuck underneath it after they all shaped couch failed.
