Need help with XL purchase.

I am purchasing my 2015 XL 350TS in a couple of weeks. Help me, what am I missing. What do I need to add or get included in my purchase? Don't want to have a Geico moment...Oh, you didn't get that, everybody knows you need that. Am excited to get on the road but anxious about what I don't know.

The only thing I wish I would have negotiated a deal on a tow bar and base plate to tow a car or a tow dolly if you go that way. But you may consider a quick connect propane connection for a grill. If they have a store you may be able to work a discount for a surge protector. I am sure others will have suggestions. Good Luck!!

howdy: we have a 378 MH, like they said the sewer hoses are not good, give them to the kids to play with in sand box,3 max air roof vents are great I leave my vents open all the time even if it rain. You might want to buy a 30 or 50 amp extension cord to plug into house just easier, always carry extra oil for motor, hydraulic oil for pump just in case. Hide extra keys to MH outside of your choice. Other than that have a good time and you will adjust to your liking as you go hope this helps........... Pete

I would have a surge guard hard wired in. I wish I would have gotten the Max air II covers.

Hardwired surge guard (we have the progressive industries one. worth every penny)
Rhino sewer hose (also worth every penny)
some sort of track to angle sewer house downhill (camco has one that folds)
maxx air covers (we have fantastic fans too, they are EXCELLENT at moving air)
Rubber wheel chocks from harbor freight (cheap and handy)
Dogbones 50a to 30a and 50a to 15a
folding ladder (awesome for washing bugs off windows at campground)
tool kit (harbor freight is a nice cheap place if you don't have an extra a home already)
jack pads (we have hosspads, recycled tire material)
leveling blocks (the lego kind, lynx levelers is what we have)
we also purchased a stabilizer for the stairs, helps keep them from bouncing around when extended (2 sizes, from camco)

Okay, I could go on for days, but these are what we use regularly.

Speaking of extra keys, make sure you get an extra set to the RV and the lock key for the engine hood and the steps to access the battery and service area. Dealer will only give one set if you don't ask. Also, you may want to try to get the dealer to pay for the registration tags if you are going with new plates, worked for me to the tune of $240.

Just out of curiosity, what do the Max air covers do for you?

We had the Max air covers installed over the factory roof vents before we took delivery. They serve a few purposes.

The factory crank up vents cannot withstand the wind pressure of driving down the highway if you forget to close them as part of your departure checklist. They're flimsy plastic and usually only have the crank arm in the center of the vent, and will split the vent cover as it wobbles while travelling.

Also, with Max air covers, we can leave the vents open 24/7 all year long. No rain or snow or real dirt can get inside because of the mesh screens on the factory vent AND the Max air.

BTW........just like everything, the Max air II's provide more air circulation than the originals, but either model is better than none at all.
